about Me
MY work, my story, my mission, MY LINEAGE
Self Expression Mentor, Somatic facilitator. embodiment and Spiritual Teacher for women.
my work
I’m Francesca, I am a Scottish-Sicilian Self Expression Mentor, Somatic Facilitator and Embodiment and Spiritual Teacher for Women. I am a women’s health advocate and speaker on women’s issues. I am here to be truly and fully expressed in this life and I want that for you too.
My work serves the fullest embodiment and expression of the female body and voice.
I believe the world doesn’t need more self regulation, it needs more self expression and women need this more than anything.
My decade of work as a teacher and mentor is first rooted in my embodied lived experience and story.
The core essence of my work exists at the intersection of self expression, somatics, shadow work, and spirituality and creativity.
In the first lockdown, I created my own spiritual and creative philosophy called A.R.T. to embody and express the art of being all of who you truly are.
I am the creator of Her Body of ART and leader of The Women of Art Movement.
The path of ART continues to create deep, embodied empowerment and expansive freedom of expression in myself, my mentees and creative communities.
my story
I feel life deeply. I am highly sensitive and carry a depth of intensity I have had to work hard to own in myself as it has been weaponised against me more times than it has been praised. Sharing my sensitivity and depth has been one of my greatest challenges and achievements. My capacity to be vulnerable and emotionally generous is something that made me feel too much for most of my life until my 40s. In childhood to teenRagehood writing poetry and songs was literally life saving to channel how life pierced me- these are still my core creative identities.
Another thing is my bigness. I have a bigness in me. I have a bigness inside of me that I’ve spent my whole life trying to let out in ways that make you feel even a sliver of what this bigness feels like in me. I have spent a lifetime carrying the weight of other people’s capacity to give my bigness permission to exist.
Because of shame.
-
I have been taken down many times into depression, feeling small or making myself small because of shame. Body shame from being bullied for a mole I had on my nose that I would hide by putting my hand over my face and got removed at 13 then starving myself at 16. Expression shame from being called a drama queen at a strict school that didn’t know how to hold my big heart or my sensitive artist.
Repression shame of being fascinated with the reproductive module in biology that a teacher at that same catholic school shamed me in front of all the students in class for getting 100% in an exam for. All of this shame I carried well into my 30s and still burn through layers of.
Shame has been both a cage and a teacher that shows me how far I strayed from my bigness. Shame has been a call to my smallness to take up more space. Un-shaming myself in layers has been the most liberating thing to free up my life force and capacity for pleasure and freedom of self expression.
I know the places I was taught to hide are the places in me that long to come alive. I wrote a song on my organ called Shame in 2017 in a creative awakening. I literally howled a huge chunk of it out my body and felt ecstatic for an entire summer.
I’ve had to grow into more capacity to stand in the spine of my bigness without giving power to someone outside of me holding my hand waiting for the green man. I’m growing into more capacity to withstand the push back of when other people judge my bigness, misunderstand my bigness, are intimidated by it or feel threatened by it.
I am of Scottish Sicilian heritage.
I am a big woman of big wisdom, big courage, big passion, big purpose, big voice and big vision. I am here to be my most fully fleshed expression. I do this for me, my mum and my grandmothers who did not have this choice or this voice.
I am here to serve my bigness and big things and be bigger than my own or their triggers. My bigness is a gift to myself and all women.
To all the women who feel not good enough or too much. I have walked that path. Walk with me to remember another way….
to be full of yourself is good.

My methodology is simple. I have no method. I only have the map of my lived experience and my truest, fullest expression. Telling the vulnerable, raw truth and sharing my story are the biggest threads that weave through my life and holds me, my essence, my work and my art together. Telling the truth makes me feel alive. And my courage, my courage has gotten me much further than my confidence. Everything I have ever needed or wanted as has come from living my life in service to tracking my deeper truth and showing up as I am even when I am terrified to be seen which has always been my biggest fear and deepest desire. My “method” is being fully myself whether my ego likes it or not. Being fully myself is my medicine.
My mission is only this. There is nothing that brings me more grief than to not be fully expressed so it has become my core mission in my one precious life. It has become my work that makes me feel fully alive. Being fully expressed is my medicine and my message, and when I share this I cannot help but be moved to guide and lead others to be called forward into their own. I have many teachers and mentors who have guided and shaped me to carve my own way who I credit fully below.

In 2020, I was living a Venusian, Virginia Woolf dream locked down in a cabin surrounded by jasmine and wild roses in a room of my own. I had started to write poetry regularly again as I wasn’t running around London teaching all the time to pay the bills, I unexpectedly had all this space to create and in that much needed space, I had a spiritual awakening which birthed my signature teaching of A.R.T.
A.R.T. is a spiritual and creative philosophy and means Alive, Raw, Radiant Truth-an expansive, creative path to embody your biggest aliveness to radiate the uncensored expression of who you truly are. This is how I live my life.
It comes from my core belief system that life is art. I believe I am here to live my life as art, I know my purest, rawest essence is creativity, that I am the artist and co-creator of my life with the divine. I believe this essential essence is something within you too, within us all.

MY LINEAGE
ENORMOUS gratitude to my longest standing teacher and mentor Naomi Absalom who has fiercely held me to my power and potential through all of my patterns. I would not be the woman I am today without her exquisite sight and no bullshit loving guidance. It is a privilege to also call her a friend and now teach alongside her in her revolutionary spaces for women’s power and leadership. Ride or dies for life. I am proud to be part of such a strong, devoted feminine lineage.
